The Cavs and Lakers lived up to expectations with Kobe and Lebron stealing the spotlight. The Cavs won by 6, 93-87;sweeping the season series from the Lakers and getting in the Lakers heads as we head towards the second half of the season.
Lebron threw down 37 pts, 5 rebs and 9 dimes, while Kobe scored 31 pts, but only grabbed 2 boards.
As I watched the second half, it was the Lebron show. Lebron scored 12 straight for his team down the stretch, as Kobe was shooting 4-15 in the second half. So far this season Kobe is 22-58 against the Cavs this year in two games, thats 38 percent shooting.
The Cavs won this game without Mo Williams, who is out for a month, and Jamario Moon. Even without Mo, the Cavs looked solid; Shaq was being used as an assist man and as a scorer, Lebron was Lebron and J.J. Hickson stepped-up and scored 13 pts and grabbed 14 boards.
If the Cavs can get this all around effort for the next month, they won't miss Williams at all. And once he returns those who shift to the bench will be that much more refined and ready to play professional basketball.
For the Lakers, they must hold strong through the rest of this road trip. Once this trip is over they get into an easier portion of their schedule. They are going to be there late in the playoffs, the question is are the Cavs in the Lakers players heads or can Kobe show the focus he did last season that led them to a championship?
Should be a fantastic second half of the season and if you are reading this but don't watch the NBA, I suggest you start doing so!!!!!!!!!!!!
