What a night (or morning) in Melbourne. With Rafa Nadal out with his usual knee tendinitis and Andy Roddick getting beat, the tourney is for R Fed's taking. Roddick looked bad in the first two sets (what I got to see) and was bothered by a nerve problem in his shoulder. He said his index and middle finger on his right hand were numb for most of the match. That shows his lack of control and ability to serve.
Nadal may be out for an extended period of time. His knee has cause him problems for a long time now, and it may be time for some further examination.
Marin Cilic, who defeated Roddick, is a solid player, but I don't believe can beat either Djokovic or Fererer if they advance.
Andy Murray, who beat Nadal, is a great player and is trying to become the first Brit to win a major since like 1500 A.D.
Keep watching, the remaining quarterfinals and the semifinals to come should be exciting.
Prediction: Andy Murray vs. R Fed in the finals with R Fed winning the Aussie Open. (it would be R Fed's first Aussie title since 2007, his longest draught in a grand slam)
