Herschel Walker mma debut
It's the last two rounds. The first round, like the entire fight, was kept on the ground and was pretty boring!
UC vs. Providence
Huge win for the Cats in what may have been a must win game to keep their March Madness hopes alive. After losing to Providence twice last season, Cashmere Wright scored a Bearcats season high 24 points to lead the Cats to a 92-88 victory. His 24 points were the most a UC player has ever scored against Providence College.
Five Cats scored in double-digits, with Rashad Bishop scoring 16 and grabbing six boards. Deonta Vaughn and Lance Stephenson scored 12 points, Stephenson added a game-high nine rebounds. Suprisingly, the uncoordinated Darnell Wilks added 10 points.
The Cats shot 57.1 percent from the field, while outrebounding the Friars 38-33.
It was the third time this season UC scored over 90 points, the third time five Bearcats scored in double-digits and the eigth time UC shot over 50 percent from the field.
UC moves to 5-4 in the Big East, tying their best start in conference action. They have five winnable games in their next six. They face ND, Uconn and South Florida, who they have already beat, plus Syracuse, Marquette and Depaul. It is possible, maybe I'm being a bit too positive, that they could win five of those six. It they can do that, the Cats are in prime shape to be playing in March.

Two number one seeds will meet in the Super Bowl for the first time since 1993.
I think the Bengals played in that Super Bowl!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA continue laughing!!!!
I think the Bengals played in that Super Bowl!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA continue laughing!!!!
Dammit!!!!!

I could go off on this right now. There are two things that really piss me off, at least today, and they are Bengals acting like morons and smiling in their mug shots and people who think Kurt Warner isn't a Hall of Famer.
Rey, grow up and don't be the next Odell Thurman please. I'm asking you this as one of the most dedicated Bengals fans on this planet. We NEED you on this team, not in Kenton County Jail, to achieve the ultimate goal, the Super Bowl. Without you, this D takes a huge hit. GROW UP DAWG and don't piss away your future!!!!!!!!

It's the fur that bothers you?

Yeah, so, I'm not sure what to say about this. I don't think they should be upset by the fur, they should be upset that a man would wear such a thing! This is a prime example why no man should ever watch figure skating. Man, how about some Wranglers?
Is that Andre Smith?
What a baby!!!!
Glen "Big Baby" Davis wants to drop his nickname. He wants to be called Glen "Uno Uno" Davis now in recognition of his jersey No. 11.
Here is my take: Don't copy off of Chad, come up with something original, how bout that "Big Baby"
Not that you care Glen, but I will always refer to you as "Big Baby." Simply because you are big, a baby and don't come close to being as sweet as Chad Ochocinco. Come up with your own nickname, not one given to you by a journalist or steal the idea from another athlete. Super original Big Baby!!!!

I would be pissed!!!
How in the world does this guy not wake up while his friends are doing this to him?
I think this guy is drinking and driving....
This would be phun minus the taking out of numerous people and objects!
What an idiot!!!!!!!!!
Hue Jackson my be one of the biggest dumbas*es in town. He is leaving Baltimore, where is the QB coach, and heading to Oakland where he will take over as Off. Coordinator.
I've stated in previous posts that Oakland is the place for coaches to die, except for Lane Kiffin, but Hue is a smart man and could succeed if it weren't for the fact that his QB's are Money Russell, Bruce "I own the Bengals" Gradkowski and Charlie "how am I still in the league" Frey. GOOD LUCK HUE!!!
By the way, I love the way you spell your name Hue!!

Aussie Open
What a night (or morning) in Melbourne. With Rafa Nadal out with his usual knee tendinitis and Andy Roddick getting beat, the tourney is for R Fed's taking. Roddick looked bad in the first two sets (what I got to see) and was bothered by a nerve problem in his shoulder. He said his index and middle finger on his right hand were numb for most of the match. That shows his lack of control and ability to serve.
Nadal may be out for an extended period of time. His knee has cause him problems for a long time now, and it may be time for some further examination.
Marin Cilic, who defeated Roddick, is a solid player, but I don't believe can beat either Djokovic or Fererer if they advance.
Andy Murray, who beat Nadal, is a great player and is trying to become the first Brit to win a major since like 1500 A.D.
Keep watching, the remaining quarterfinals and the semifinals to come should be exciting.
Prediction: Andy Murray vs. R Fed in the finals with R Fed winning the Aussie Open. (it would be R Fed's first Aussie title since 2007, his longest draught in a grand slam)

Letting one get away?
Winton Woods grad heading out of Cincy to CMU.
Don't know much about the kid, but he had an interception in Winton Woods state championship victory last season. Kind of upset we let this guy escape the city. Young talent is hard to find, especially at UC.

Great late night action on ESPN the Ocho as No. 7 Andy Roddick is taking on No. 14 Marin Cilic.
It's 5-4 Roddick, on serve in the first set. Keep you posted!
First set tiebreak, Cilic up 2-1. Cilic wins the first set 7-6!
- Roddick injured, looks like a shoulder issue. He has taken an injury timeout.
More to come...

57.9 million viewers watched the Vikings/Saints game Sunday. The most watched non-Super Bowl event since the Seinfeld finale in May 1998. Impressive, just a shame that Wrangler Jeans beefed it up!!! Nice pass Brett!!!

NBA Watch
Lebron vs. D Wade tonight in Miami. James leads the series 11-9. Hopefully we see the "look," as D Wade calls it, from The King tonight. He needs to step up and dominate the court due to the injuries to Delonte West and Mo Williams.
The Cavs come in hot after winning two straight, over the Lakers and Oklahoma City, and have opened up a four game lead in the East.
The Heat are 3-1 in their last four. Their one loss was by 39 to Charlotte. They go on the road for 11 of their next 13 after tonight.
Prediction: 104-97 Cavs.
Lebron vs. Wade head-to-head numbers: Lebron avgs. 28.9 pts, 5.6 rebs and 7.7 assists, Wade avgs. 27.6 pts, 5.4 rebs and 6.7 assists. Nearly Identical!!!!

My Breakdown for the UC vs. U of L
Here is my breakdown of the UC vs. U of L game that I wrote for UC's independent student newspaper The News Record.
AFC Wrap-up

For about 15 minutes I thought the Jets were going to overwhelm the Colts and maybe have a chance to win the game. But then in the sixteenth minute, with 2 minutes left in the first half, Mr. Manning figured it out and pulled the Colts within 4. From there it was over. The Colts told the Jets to sit down when they pee and the Jets did just that.
Peyton was unreal!! There are reports of him calling his own plays throughout the second half and ignoring the play calls from the coaches. Hell, whatever it takes to get the job done. He is the smartest qb in the league and there aren't many defenses out there that he can't figure out.
The Jets deserve tons of props. Nobody thought they would make it to the playoff, much less to the AFC Championship. Two years in a row a rookie qb has made it to the Championship game. Sanchez deserves credit for managing the offense and making a few big throws when they were needed. Now we will find out how good he is, he has to do more for his team to get better, especially with Thomas Jones getting older.
GO COLTS, I hope they crush the Saints and believe they will win by at least a touchdown. My Super Bowl breakdown is still to come...
NFC Wrap-up

WOW, what a game! Bottom line is that Wrangler Jeans turned back into the old Wrangler Jeans of 2006 with the Packers. It was his mistake that cost the Vikes the game and a trip to the SB. The Vikings gave the game to the Saints with 400 fumbles and 2 ints from WJ, but the Vikings D kept them in it. If Wrangler doesn't make that throw, they at minimum have an opportunity to win the game. If Wrangler takes off and runs for anything, he could have taken a knee and they still would have had a chance to win it, but nope, he had to throw that pass. Oh yeah, what are some of the first things you are taught when learning to be a quarterback? Not to throw back across your body, especially over the middle of the field.
I still think the Saints are over-rated and will get dominated by the Colts, but I give their D props for going for that football and forcing 6 fumbles to keep their team in the game. The Saints had 257 total yards, way below their avg, and they had less than 100 yards in the second half. That shows how good the Saints D played and were the reason they won the game (other than Wranglers dumb ass pass).

Priesthood or MLB?
All I can say about this one is that Grant Desme is a better man than I. There is no way I would give up playing professional sports to become a priest, sorry Lord, but there is just no way. Now the dude can't even have sex, much less play ball anymore.
My idea was why doesn't do both, preach and play baseball. I guess that isn't possible, it may be considered an unfair advantage. God would never let his team lose. It would be the 2010 version of steroids. All of a sudden everyone is going to be joining the priesthood and playing MLB baseball. Wonder if Bud Selig would turn his eye to that one as well?? HMMMMMM....

The Angels GAVE the Mets $21.5 Mil
How bad is Gary Matthews Jr.? Must be awful if the Angels were willing to give him and $21.5 mil to the Mets for some pitcher I've never heard of.
This is what is crazy about baseball. Only in this sport would you have a trade involving two players and a s*it ton of cash. How can one team give up that much money and get basically nothing in return? Now I understand he is off the payroll and the Angels don't have that money count against them in the future, but damn that is mass cash!!!
$21.5 mil is just a hair under what Arroyo and Harang will make combined this year. And the Angels just handed it to the Mets, ONLY IN BASEBALL!!
Oh yeah, how about that salary cap?

ESPN Classic
The Cavs and Lakers lived up to expectations with Kobe and Lebron stealing the spotlight. The Cavs won by 6, 93-87;sweeping the season series from the Lakers and getting in the Lakers heads as we head towards the second half of the season.
Lebron threw down 37 pts, 5 rebs and 9 dimes, while Kobe scored 31 pts, but only grabbed 2 boards.
As I watched the second half, it was the Lebron show. Lebron scored 12 straight for his team down the stretch, as Kobe was shooting 4-15 in the second half. So far this season Kobe is 22-58 against the Cavs this year in two games, thats 38 percent shooting.
The Cavs won this game without Mo Williams, who is out for a month, and Jamario Moon. Even without Mo, the Cavs looked solid; Shaq was being used as an assist man and as a scorer, Lebron was Lebron and J.J. Hickson stepped-up and scored 13 pts and grabbed 14 boards.
If the Cavs can get this all around effort for the next month, they won't miss Williams at all. And once he returns those who shift to the bench will be that much more refined and ready to play professional basketball.
For the Lakers, they must hold strong through the rest of this road trip. Once this trip is over they get into an easier portion of their schedule. They are going to be there late in the playoffs, the question is are the Cavs in the Lakers players heads or can Kobe show the focus he did last season that led them to a championship?
Should be a fantastic second half of the season and if you are reading this but don't watch the NBA, I suggest you start doing so!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slam Dunk Competition
Nate Robinson, Gerald Wallace and Shannon Brown, really? Oh yea, and some other guy the fans will choose. Now what if I told you it was Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter and Dwight Howard? The Slam Dunk Contest is a joke these days. I know it is just for fun, but it was only ten years ago that is thing was the highlight of All-Star Weekend. It has lost so much luster it's not funny. The only thing that can bring it back is when the ACTUAL all-stars decide to compete in it. I would take off work to watch it if we could get Lebron and Kobe!

Kobe vs. Lebron
8 p.m. tonight on TNT, LA Lakers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers. It's a must watch, much like their Christmas day match-up where Laker fans went all Cleveland on the Cavs and started to throw s*it all over the court. The Cavs won by 15 despite Kobe scoring 35.
This match-up, if you're going to watch one NBA game this year, is the one you should be watching. It could be a NBA Final preview, and if so the finals are going to be marvelous!!!
The Lakers come in at 32-9 and start an eight game road trip tonight. The Cavs are 32-11, tops in the Easternn Conference.
I could care less about all that, I want to see Kobe and Lebron battle. Lebron comes in averaging 29.6, while Kobe is putting up 28.3 a game. We all know these two are going to blow it up. Usually if one gets going, the other gets going as well.
Prediction: Kobe scores 33pts, Lebron 40pts - Cavs win 101-96

How can you not like Brock Lesnar?
I hated this guy when he joined the UFC, and hated him even more when he got the most un-earned/gift shot at the heavyweight belt. I mean how does one guy fight two fights and then fight the immortal Randy Couture for the belt? Well, put all that aside for the moment and read Lesnars bashing of anything from health care to calling Canada a third world country.
Venus like you've never seen her before...
Did Venus go commando in her last match? You make the call!!
Duke and Carolina go down...
Duck lost to N.C. State and Carolina lost to Wake Forest. First time both schools have lost on the same day since Feb. 2, 2003. And it's the first time Carolina has lost three-in-a-row under Roy Williams.
Well I'm glad Duke lost, but it sucks Carolina has lost three straight. It's cool: Carolina = Jordan

Big East Upset
The Depaul Blue Demons upset the Marquette Golden Eagles 51-50. It was Depaul's first regular season victory since March of 2008 against, yep you guessed it, your Cincinnati Bearcats. Depaul sank a fade-away two pt. bucket with .7 sec remaining and Marquette couldn't get a shot off to tie the game. Not a big win in the grand scheme of things, but good for Depaul, get that lone Big East victory out of the way before UC plays them. Oh yeah, wasn't it Depaul that beat UC last year in the first round of the Big East Tournament after they went 0-13 versus Big East opponents? YEP SURE WAS!!!
UC Wrap-up
In a must win game, the UC Bearcats did just that 78-70 over the South Florida Bulls. I'm still not thrilled with it because it is a team they should have blown out by at least double digits, and had multiple times throughout the game where they could have buried the Bulls.
Deonta Vaugh led the Cats with a season high 20 pts. And getting his first start of the year, Jaquon Parker scored a career-high 15 pts. Yancy Gates played only ten minutes and scored eight points, while fellow big man Steve Toyloy was in foul trouble as well and scored nine points.
I give the Cats credit here because they played without freshmen stud Lance "Born Ready" Stephenson, who twisted an ankle in practice yesterday. He should be ready for Sunday's game at Louisville (which I will be covering for the News Record). If you think about it, they basically played without Stephenson, Gates, Cashmere Wright (only played 4 min), and Ibrahima Thomas (9 min). Four guys who are, or were thought to be, important to this teams success.
The Cats have 11 games remaining in the regular season, all against Big East opponents. This is what I think they need to do to be one of the lucky 65 teams to get into March Madness: Their next three games are all winnable. They play Louisville, tough game but U of L is in a down year; Providence, who is getting better but again we have more talent then they do without question; and Notre Dame, who we took down just a few days ago. Out of those three games they need two wins, if not three. After that is Syracuse, Uconn and South Florida. They must win one of those games, which should be South Florida but if they could get two wins they would be in prime position. Next is Marquette, Depaul and Bob Huggins. They have to beat Marquette and Depaul. Their last two are against Villanova and Georgetown, two very tough games. One win here would be crucial. If this is the path they choose, the Cats will be 20-10, 11-7 in the Big East and would be in the tournament without question. A 19-11, 10-8 record could do it, but I don't want to be nervous on selection Sunday.

Tiger's Wood
I'm pretty sure that Tiger Woods can do whatever the hell he wants and surely doesn't have to listen to Geoff (sweet first name) Ogilvy.
How exactly do you pronounce his name? Is it GE OFF or GEO FF? Not sure!

The Raiders Job.
Who in their right mind would want to work for that crazy, old bastard Al Davis? I wouldn't even take the job, and frankly the guy is so crazy I wouldn't be surprised if I was offered the job. The only guy who should thank Al Davis is Lane Kiffin. Kiffin got his first head coaching job with the Raiders, which he didn't deserve, and has turned that miserable job into two head coaching jobs at the collegiate level with two of the greatest programs of all-time. If it weren't for Davis, Kiffin definitely wouldn't have the USC job, and most likely would still be a offensive coordinator somewhere or a head coach at some small school.
The Raiders and Al Davis must think Jim Harbaugh is an idiot. Why in the hell would he leave Stanford, a program that he is trying to build from the ground up, and pursue a job in Oakland for a loopy old man whose franchise has won like 15 games since they were in the Super Bowl in 2003. Way to go Jim, stay somewhere and build a respectable program, don't leave for some toilet bowl professional team that has no identity and path for success in its future.
The Raiders will be terrible for as long as JaMarcus Russell is on the team and until Al Davis is, well we'll just say, no longer in charge of them.
The Raiders and Al Davis must think Jim Harbaugh is an idiot. Late night at in Australia.
The Aussie Open has been phenomenal thus far, it's just too bad that all the good matches are on between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. local time. James Blake and Del Potro's match last night was an epic, 5 set match that Del Potro won 10-8 in the fifth. Who wouldn't want to watch that?
I tried my best to stay up as late as I could, which was about 2 a.m., the match was still in the first set. I only bring this up because if tennis could get the action that has gone on so far in the Aussie Open to happen at Wimbledon or the U.S. Open, I believe it could lead tennis back to being a top notch sport.
Another great example is Justine Henin knocking off the No. 5 seeded Elena Dementieva. Henin just recently un-retired, and was granted a wild-card spot for the Aussie Open. Not only did she beat Dementiea, she beat her in straight sets. That is a magical victory for Henin and nobody in the USA was really able to see it, unless you are Edward Norton in Fight Club.
It's just a shame that some of the best tennis in years is being played right now, but nobody except for those in Australia are getting to see it!

Late night Aussie Open update...
James Blake leads No. 4 Del Potro 2-1 in the first set. Blake goes down in 5 sets, losing the fifth 10-8. American tennis, at least for the men, is at an all-time low.

The Long Haired Hippy Pitcher.
Tim Lincecum is worth every penny he is going to get. $13 mil, wait no, what is bulls*it is the fact that the Giants are only offering him $8 mil. The guy has won two Cy Young awards, and is arguably the best pitcher in the game. The dude should get more than what he is asking for.
I'm not a fan of paying these guys like they do, but if that is the nature of the beast Lincecum should be getting paid for how he is performing. Johan Santan, some would consider the best pitcher in the league, made $18.8 mil last season. What did he do last year and where was his team in October? Lincecum's teammate, Barry Zito, made $18.5 mil last year. We all know how good Zito has been lately (although he had an alright 2009;10-13 with a 4.03 ERA).
Here is a guy that made $13 mil last season: Bronson Arroyo ($12.5 mil). Who would you take: Arroyo or Lincecum?
Here is a guy that made $8 mil last season: Jose Contreras ($10 mil, even worse). Again, who would you take: Contreras or Lincecum?
Just remember Timmy, it's not worth pissing all that money away just for a toke!!!

Tennis
Yeah I know that most people don't give two s*its about tennis, but I have watched more of it lately than ever. It's only the first round of the Aussie Open, but I stayed up til 2 a.m. last night to watch R Fed and some Russian guy, when I got home today I watched the end of Natalie Oudin vs. some Russian, and now I'm watching Lleyton Hewitt's match.
I like the sport of tennis, but what I like the most is that it is a clean sport. Other than golf (which is in question in my opinion), what other sports is cleaner? Yeah, there are rumors of match fixing, but those happen in matches with players outside the top 100.
Nobody can name me a single tennis player who has been suspended for steroid or HGH use. Sure, Andre did some meth, but seriously, can you name me one?
It is a sport with a rich history that has lost its luster over the years. I say (in a somewhat sarcastic voice) lets rally for tennis and promote the clean bill of steroids that the sport has.
There you go Aaron, some of my writing!!!!!!

40 years? Seriously?
Check out what this lady had to go through after being forced out of her home because she is black.
Did you know fact of the day
Juan Martin del Potro and Rafael Nadal are the only players to defeat R Fed in a Grand Slam final.
Yea I know it's tennis, but damn that is impressive!
Yea I know it's tennis, but damn that is impressive!
This guy learned something from Brandon Spikes.
Mr. Gailey is back!
How good are the Bills? Good enough to hire a coach who was fired at the beginning of the '09 season by the Chiefs. And how good were the Chiefs this year? Chan Gailey hasn't been a head coach since '07, and that was with Georgia Tech. What happened to the Bills hiring Bill Cowher, Leslie Frazier or anybody that has cred? Well they are the Bills.
J Burton and Reds Avoid Arbitration.
The Reds and reliever Jared Burton were able to avoid arbitration and come to terms on a deal. This guy needs to get his head stright and if he does, he has the stuff to be a key part of this ball club and lead them to the promise land.

Aussie Open

Roger Federer has lost the first set of his opening round match against Igor Andreev 6-4, but R Fed is up a break in the second set and leads 5-2. Keep you posted!
- 1 set a piece as R Fed takes the second set 6-2.
- Andreev is up a break in the third set leading Federer 2-1.
- Federer breaks back. 2-2 in the third, 1 set a piece.
- 5-3 R Fed, about to serve for the set.
- Andreev breaks back, 5-4 R Fed leads, Andreev serving.
- Andreev breaks R Fed again. Up 6-5 and serving for the set to go up 2 sets to 1 against the No.1 seed.
- Federer breaks Andreev, 6-6. Tiebreaker at 1-1
- Federer wins the set 7-6 and is up 2 sets to 1. Andreev blew it. I'm going to bed!
Really Mariah?
How old is Mariah Carey? I was like six when her first hit came and, but hell, she still looks good! This is a pic of her last night at the Golden Globes.
Losing = Contract Extension!
How does Norv Turner get a contract extension after losing to the Jets, after winning 11 straight games before losing Sunday and, in my opinion, was the favorite to win the Super Bowl. This is a prime example of a good regular season leading to the GM getting sucked in. Norv is over-rated as a coach and the Chargers are about to find that out the hard way.
Final in Manhattan
No.9 Kansas State defeated No.1 Texas 71-62. And Kentucky is your new No. 1! That sux!!!!!
Mike Nolan out in Denver!
Fox Sports is reporting Mike Nolan is out as Broncos defensive coordinator. This is weird to me. Their D was the most improved part of their team, now give us Brandon Marshall!!!!!
Middletown is going to be on fire tonight!!!
Girls Gone Wild is at Reflections Night Club in Middletown tonight.
Update to Previous Story
After taking a swing on an umpire in the Dominican League, Jose Offermand has been banned for life from the league. So, was it worth it Jose?
Arrested for Cheering
Check out this Jets fan getting arrested for what appears to be nothing. Something is missing from this video because in the first ten seconds he has his jacket on and a second later he is wearing a t-shirt and getting bulldozed to the ground.
Miggy
We do not know how old Miguel Tejada really is, we do know that he did steroids and now we know that he is a good human being.
How the Mighty Have Fallen
My question is why didn't he just keep his butt on the Celtics bench making millions to do nothing. Does he speak Chinese?
The Cry Baby is Coming Back
It is believed that Jerry Jones will retain Wade Phillips for the 2010 season. Roy "all I do is drop passes" Williams will also return next season, despite not catching a single ball in the divisional playoff game against the Vikings.
Well good luck Cowboys in the 2010 season. The only way this team gets better is if their young defense improves. This offense will be exactly the same as it has been; dropped passes, the draw play and Romo throwing picks and dropping the ball all over the field.

Baaaad Gator
Man, it's hard for me to grasp the fact that this guy went to college for free and I am going to be paying my loans back til I'm 75.
Does anybody care that she lost?
Sunday Divisional Wrap-Up
Well if you didn't notice, I went 4-0 on my picks. Guess I better start gambling!!!
Cowboys vs. Vikings: Seriously, how good is Wrangler Jeans. The dude gets better with age. The Vikes just dominated the Boys and never let Dallas into the game. The pass rush on Romo was ridiculous, especially when you try to put a tight end on Jared Allen (smart). Romo couldn't hang onto the ball and when he did, he threw the ball directly to a Vikings player. Farve could have done practically nothing in the game and the Vikings D would have led them to the victory anyway. The Cowboys got hot, but still were/are over-rated and as I predicted just got flat out blown out of the stadium. If the Vikings D can just slow down the Saints and Farve can play the way he did against the Cowboys, the Vikings are on their way to the Super Bowl.
Jets vs. Chargers: How bout Dirty Sanchez? Okay well he played alright, but that J E T S defense is nasty. Whales Vagina scored over 20 points in 20 some odd straight games, but not against those Jets. At least it makes the Bengals losing seem a little bit better (NOT). There isn't a whole lot to say on this game except that the Colts are in for a rude awakening next week if the Jets D plays half as good as they did today. Oh yeah, don't forget about Thomas Jones and Shonn Green! At least we had one good divisonal round game, save the best for last my friend!

Just call me Roger Ebert
The Book of Eli, or as I like to call it El Libro de Eli, was good viewing. The message is deep and the story is fantastic. Denzel is just as bad (as in good) as he always is and Mila Kunis steps out of her shoes as Jackie from That 70s Show and does a great job in a serious role. If you see it be prepared to be shocked and to leave the theatre with a solid message impounded into your skull. Overall I give it an A based on the deep impact of the message and the overall concept of the movie. GO SEE IT, it will make you realize how good we have it and how much we take for granted in the world today.

People are awesome!
This is a list of fantastic reasons people had to go to the emergency room. Read them, they are hysterical.
The Boys are crying!!!!!

What a bunch of damn babies! Keith Brooking and Wade Phillips should be worrying about how to get better or if they are even going to be members of the Cowboys next year, not whining about what the Vikings did. Take your ass whoopin and go home, don't cry about it. Nice face Wade!!!
USA soccer may be taking another hit
I will not lie, I'm not a huge soccer fan. But I do love the World Cup and my country (corny, I know). Clint Dempsey is just the latest blow to the national team.
GO BIG BLUE
Michiagan defeated No.15 UCONN 68-63 today. Michigan's Manny Harris led the way for the Wolverines with 18 pts and 8 boards. Michigan led by 9 at half, but Uconn came back and tied the game with 2 min. remaining. Michigan's Zack Novak drained a three with 1.5 mins. remaining to give the Wolverines the lead for good. It was the Huskies third loss in a row, the first time that has happened since losing four straight to end the 2006-07 season. The Huskies went 1-11 from three point land, while Michigan went 9-28. Kimba Walker led the Huskies with 15 pts. It was Michigans second straight win against a ranked opponent.
Don't mess with Lebron's amigos
Hey, here is an idea for ya Braylon Edwards: If you are famous (or not famous) don't punch people in the face unless you want some punishment. In my opinion it's bulls*it that he isn't suspended for today's game or next week's game if they win. You commit a crime, you should punished immediatley, not a year from now.
I would love to punch an umpire!
For the second time in three years, Jose Offerman has ran into trouble in the minor leagues. This time it is with an umpire
Huge Win for the Cats!
The Univeristy of Cincinnati got a victory that they had to have yestuday against hated Notre Dame 60-58. Finally the Cats realized they have a talanted big man in the post, Yancy Gates, and fed him the ball on the final posession where he missed his first attempt, but got his rebound and put it back in for the game-winner. Saturday Divisional Wrap-up
Saints vs. Cardinals: Ok well at lease I got the winner correct and almost their score. The Saints D stepped up, but when you are down by 20-30pts, like the Cards were, it's not that difficult to stop an offense who you know is going to pass 90 percent of the time. Props to the Saints and to the most over-rated NFL player of all time, Reggie Bush. His 46 yd scamper to the end zone was unreal and seeing him lower his shoulder and run people over was the Reggie Bush that I hope to see for years to come. Arizona just looked over matched and tired. Kurt Warner looked old, but if I took a hit like he did I would look old as well. Please don't retire Kurt, keep playing, you are fun to watch and are a sure fire Hall of Famer. If you do hang it up, it was a pleasure watching! UNREAL BY BUSH
Colts vs. Ravens: Wow, the running game was the key. The Ravens were held to 87 yds rushing and that is all you need to know. Peyton was Peyton and their D was awesome. If Indy's D plays like they did yesturday, they will win the Super Bowl. Joe Flacco has had a hell of a first two seasons in the league, but needs some WR's younger than 40 yrs old with speed. Derrick Mason isn't cutting it and Mark Clayton only seems to appear when there is a trick play or a reverse. Great showing for Indy, but the Ravens have nothing to be ashamed of. Nobody thought they would have gone this far two months ago.

Another sad story
Chicago Bears DE Gaines Adams died Sunday morning in South Carolina. Adams was only 26 years old and was preparing to make his debut next season with the Bears. He was traded this season from Tampa Bay to Chicago due to a regime change in Tampa. Preliminary autopsy results say it was cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart.

My Divisional Playoff breakdown
Saints vs. Cards: There might be 100 pts scored in this game. The only way Arizona wins this game is if the wile vet, Kurt Warner, does what he did against Green Bay. The Saints D is nothing great (by the way, I think the Saints are the most over-rated team I've seen in a long time), but obviously neither is Arizona's. These will be a track meet without question, but whoever can get the running game going to allow for the play action pass will win this game. Prediction: Saints 52 Arizona 50.
Colts vs. Ravens: If Ray Rice (who is 22 years old, amazing) runs like he did last week, the game is already over. On the other hand, Joe "Deleware" Flacco has to pass for more than 34 yds for the Ravens to have any chance. We know what we are going to get from Mr. Manning, so again it's the running game that will be the key. Joe Addai must establish himself from the start and then Donald Brown will slice the Ravens D all day. Prediction: Colts 17 Ravens 13.
Cowboys vs. Vikings: Wrangler Jeans will determine the outcome of this game. He is going to throw for three tds or three ints. He is all or nothing, and against the Boys I think he will be all. Romo needs that running game to be a force early so he can hook up with Miles Austin on the deep ball. If the running game fails Dallas, they will lose, if Farve fails today the Vikings can still win because of AP. I just contradicted myself, but it adds to my point; Dallas has to have both facets working to win, the Vikings will have both but can win if one fails. Prediction: Vikings 30 Cowboys 14.
Chargers vs. Jets: If the rookie plays like he did last week against the Bengals, the Jets actually have a chance to win. If their running game stays hot like it has all year, and especially the past couple weeks, the Jets will win this game. Phillip Rivers (the biggest D Bag in the NFL) has like ten recievers over 6'5, but don't forget about THE REVIS roaming around the field. The Chargers must have a running game to win; if not, Rivers better throw for 400 yds and 5 tds. I hate both these teams (sorry dad), so I'm gonna stop. Prediction: Jets 20 Chargers 17

Coach Marv
In a year where there couldn't have been more tragedies, Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis was named the NFL's Coach of the Year.

Mr. Dooley
So how far have the mighty fallen? Growing up Tennessee was a primere program, now they have to hire some dude from Louisiana Tech, who went 17-20 there, as their next head coach. Man I miss Tee Martin. At least this improves the Bearcats chances of winning at UT in 2011!!!! Seriously though, how is it that a program like UT can't find a coach better than Derek Dooley? Will Muschamp should have taken the job because I think Mack Brown is going to be in his 90's when he retires from Texas. Don't pass on opportunities to be a head coach at a top notch program like Tennessee, especially when you have no idea as to when you will have another opportunity like this. Yeah, Texas may be a better job, but not that much better; and last time I checked Mack Brown just signed a contract extension this year. All I can say is when opportunity knocks, make sure you answer.
By the way, props to David Cutcliffe for sticking to his guns and not hosing his players (even though I hate Duke), I have more respect for him as a coach than 99 percent of the other dirty little slimeballs coaching in college football today!

My name is Toby
In my opinion this guy was your Heisman Trophy winner and I cannot wait to see him play in the NFL
Ochocinco a Pro Bowler
Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco has been named to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for injured Patriots WR Wes Welker. Chad had a decent year with 72 receptions for 1,047 yds. He averaged 14.5 yds a catch and had nine tds. Ask Darrelle Revis if he thinks Chad deserves that Pro Bowl spot (by the way, how did Revis not win the Defensive Player of the Year award).
Still a Dukie
Duke Head Football Coach David Cutcliffe withdrew his name from consideration for the Tennessee Head Coaching job. Why, I'm not sure except for that I hear this guy has integrity and DIDN'T WANT TO SCREW HIS PLAYERS. Wow what a crazy idea, maybe he needs to sit down with good ol' Brian Kelly and Lane Kiffin. The King goes down...
In one of the more up and down games I've seen this year, the King was out done by a rookie. Sundiata Gaines of the Jazz burried a three pointer as the buzzer sounded to knock off the Cavs 97-96. Gaines is in the midst of his second ten day contract in his NBA career. He only scored nine pts in the game, but only played in the fourth quarter, not too bad. Here is a stat for ya: In 46 minutes of playing time, Sundiata has only committed two turnovers. Can you say give this dude a real contract?
Haiti
Text yele 501501 to donate 5 dollars to Haiti relief. This is not a scam, it is a fund set up by Wyclef Jean. Research it if you need to, but they need your help more than you need that value meal from your local Wendy's!!!!

More guns?
What is up with athletes and guns? Nothing like my first two posts being about athletes and weapons...
I wish I could piss away millions of dollars!!!!!!
Ok so here is my problem with the shark man as I like to call him (he owns a pet shark), how stupid can you be to not only bring guns into the locker room, but to do a dance like this knowing that you could lose all that money you "worked" for your entire life because of your stupidity? Now we all know the sterotype of the NBA and its players, but before this incident I viewed Gil as being a jokester and maybe a bit on the quirkey side; now he is just another stupid, spoiled NBA guy who is fits right into that sterotype. This was the last thing the NBA and David Stern needed after the whole Tim Donaghy episode and be thankful that Stern stepped in a suspended Arenas before he could make more of a mockery of this potential deadly situation. Just be thankful that Gil and J didn't pull those triggers or who knows how ugly this could have been for not only Gil and J, but for the NBA as an enterprise and for Mr. Stern as the commish. Gil I hope you get some sort of legal punishment and not just a suspension from the league because you deserve a lot more than that. Say hey to Plax if you see him!!! TSkeen...
