The Aussie Open has been phenomenal thus far, it's just too bad that all the good matches are on between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. local time. James Blake and Del Potro's match last night was an epic, 5 set match that Del Potro won 10-8 in the fifth. Who wouldn't want to watch that?
I tried my best to stay up as late as I could, which was about 2 a.m., the match was still in the first set. I only bring this up because if tennis could get the action that has gone on so far in the Aussie Open to happen at Wimbledon or the U.S. Open, I believe it could lead tennis back to being a top notch sport.
Another great example is Justine Henin knocking off the No. 5 seeded Elena Dementieva. Henin just recently un-retired, and was granted a wild-card spot for the Aussie Open. Not only did she beat Dementiea, she beat her in straight sets. That is a magical victory for Henin and nobody in the USA was really able to see it, unless you are Edward Norton in Fight Club.
It's just a shame that some of the best tennis in years is being played right now, but nobody except for those in Australia are getting to see it!
